
Jedd Novatt was born in New York City in 1958.
After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in 1980, Novatt spent the year studying and working in France at the Lacoste School of the Arts, now part of Savannah College of Art and Design. In 1981, Novatt returned to New York City where he had his first studio on Warren Street in Tribeca. He had his first solo show in New York City in 1993.
In 2002 Novatt moved to Paris France, where he currently resides with his family. He divides his time among studios in Paris, Normandy, and the Basque region in Spain.
Novatt's work has been exhibited extensively in galleries and museums in the United States and Europe. His work is represented in numerous public and private collections worldwide.

Novatt's latest monumental sculpture, Chaos Madrid, is currently part of the Sotheby's Beyond Limits 2011 exhibition at Chatsworth House, England -- Novatt's fourth consecutive year of participation.
Chaos Eibar is exhibited by Hamiltons Gallery in the Pavilion of Art & Design, London, 12-16 October 2011.
Beginning 21 October, La Piscine, Musee d'Art et d'Industrie in France presents the exhibition La Piscine a Dix Ans, which features two Novatt sculptures, both belonging to the museum's permanent collection.
Novatt's monumental work Chaos Vascos is currently on exhibition in Parque Pinosolo, Leioa, Spain.
On July 16, 2011, Novatt's monumental work Chaos Pamplona was installed permanently in Younvtille California, the center of Napa Valley.

Novatt's Chaos San Sebastien was exhibited with Hamiltons Gallery at the Masterpiece London, June 2011.
Karl Hutter Fine Art Los Angeles held a show of Novatt's sculpture, May 10 - July 31, 2011.
Novatt's monumental sculpture Chaos 12 was exhibited in "Monumental" Boca Raton, Florida, Summer 2011.
Novatt's Chaos Pamplona was shown in Sotheby's Beyond Limits exhibition (Sep - Nov 2010) at Chatsworth House, England - Novatt's third consecutive year of participation.
The solo installation and exhibition of Chaos Mundaka openened on September 27th in Brown Harts Garden Mayfair, Central London with Hamiltons Gallery. Chaos Mundaka was unveiled as part of London's revolving City of Sculpture programme for the 2012 Olympic Games. To view the press release, click here.
Chaos San Sebastien was exhibited at Berkeley Square in the Pavilion of Art and Design, London 13th-17th October.
Chaos Vascos has been exhibited in Deba, Spain throughout the summer on the breakwater as part of a group exhibition, and remained on view through the fall.
Chaos Pamplona was also exhibited at Galerie Alfa Arte in Eibar Spain, opening 7th October, 2010.
Beginning January 17th, 2010, the Butler Institute of American Art is presenting a solo exhibition of Novatt’s sculpture. To view the press release, click here.
